Estimates
Budget and costs are important constraints to set at the outset of our relationship. We have three types of estimates we provide:
If we think your job will cost under $1000.00 we set up a free virtual estimate with one of our master electricians. You will give us a description of what you want done and walk us through your project over zoom. We create an estimate from there.
If we think your job will cost between $1000.00 and $15,000.00 we come to you and do a free one-hour site evaluation and then produce an estimate.
If we think your job will cost over $15000.00 we come to you for a ninety minute site evaluation and scope of work discussion. From there we determine how much research and design time will go into producing a valid estimate and set a firm fixed price for that process.
Pricing
We believe in transparency in pricing.
Our standard shop labor rate is $250 for the first craft hour and $175 per craft hour for all additional time during normal business hours. We bill overtime rates for all time outside normal business hours.
We pay our staff to meet Cook County Prevailing Wage as determined by the Department of Labor.
We source products based on availability and price from our vendors. Our standard material price includes a 30% mark-up to cover taxes, shipping, handling, and delivery to your job.
As of May 1, 2023 we apply a fee of 23% atop the above costs for our Overhead and Margin Expenses.
